He said so in an exclusive chat with THE WHISTLER.

Recall that the Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) had seized the assets of Galadima over a 900 million naira debt; pending  judgment by the Federal High Court, Abuja.

Furthermore, AMCON (Amendment Act, 2019) is empowered by law to take possession of properties of debtors pending hearing of the case in court.

But Galadima has alleged that the AMCON  law was just part of the many resurrections from the president’s military past when he was head of state.

“AMCON is Buhari’s decree of 1983 reincarnated; if you accuse somebody, you just take his property without finally settling.

“And in the opening remarks of the Nigerian constitution, it is stated that you are presumed innocent until you are proved guilty,” he added.

Galadima also said that it was the duty of Nigerians to keep calling the government to order like he does, adding that not doing so will not help the nation’s democratic growth.

According to him, democracy prevails when people can speak against unsavory policies of government.

“During the days of Hitler, there was no one to speak for the oppressed, and this is where we are getting to.

“We are getting into full blown dictatorship under Buhari and he is not going; that’s why you don’t have a future,” he said.

He also said that his long standing friendship with the president does not mean he must agree with everything he does.

He stressed that a feature of good friendship is the ability to correct and not just to commend.

“Buhari is my very close friend because I am the only person that is advising him; and it is only your friend that will tell you the truth irrespective of how you feel.

“He can’t be right always, so I tell him that he is not always right as he is human and not God,” he added.

He also said that the  polity as well as the socio-economic situation of the country would have been better if the elders and the elites played their roles well.

“We have a serious problem and it is our fault,” he said.

He also said that the nation’s greatness is under threat because there is no concrete plan and vision for the youths of the nation.

“This Nigeria that you see, you will get into more trouble because there is no plan for your future; and if you have no future, it will be a chaotic country in the next ten to fifty years.

Also, he added that the youths should accept personal responsibility in view of the great future they desire.

“You either gang up and take your country back because we are tired,” he said.
