‘Buhari’s Blood Relation Occupying Sensitive Position In INEC’

A blood relation of President Muhammadu Buhari was allegedly appointed into and has been working in a “very sensitive department” of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

This was according to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which claimed that the unnamed Buhari relation “has been perfecting all manner of rigging plans, including the exposed plans to create illegal 30,000 polling units in porous areas in favour of Buhari”.

The opposition PDP equally claimed that the INEC has vindicated its party by admitting the existence of under-aged voters in the northern states of the country, where the president is from.

The party said in a series of tweets: “The admission by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) @inecnigeria of the existence of underage voters in its voter register has vindicated the position of the @OfficialPDPNig and clearly shows that we have not been crying wolf where there was none.

“While we acknowledge this development, we reject moves by the indicted commission @inecnigeria to unilaterally clean up the discredited register and eliminate the minors without involving all stakeholders including political parties in the process.

“This is principal because we have been reliably informed that @inecnigeria, under Prof. Mahmood Yakubu has been instructed by the @NGRPresident and the @OfficialAPCNg to retain the underage voters, particularly in Katsina and Kano states

“We are aware that a blood relation of @MBuhari, who has been made in charge of very sensitive department in @inecnigeria, has been perfecting all manner of rigging plans, including the exposed plans to create illegal 30,000 polling units in porous areas in favour of @MBuhari

“We invite Nigerians to note that @MBuhari left the United States 48 hours ago and embarked on an unofficial visit to United Kingdom for undisclosed reasons without transmitting a letter to the National Assembly @nassnigeria. This is impunity and another constitutional breach

“Buhari had on Tuesday left the United States, where he had an embarrassing and fruitless outing and instead of returning to the country, detoured to the UK for another private visit without regard to full disclosure requirements of our constitution and laws.

“The @AsoRock must understand that President @MBuhari is not a private citizen and as long as his upkeep and itinerary is sourced from our hard-earned resources, there must be full disclosure, as citizens deserve to know the purpose of the visit and the cost to our nation.”
