CCT Suspends Onnoghen’s Trial Indefinitely

The Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, has postponed the trial of the embattled Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, indefinitely.

According to the CCT, the decision is pending the determination of the application filed of the appeal court against the trial of the suspended CJN.

Recall that the Appeal Court led by Justice Abdul Aboki had stopped the trial of the CJN, saying that the matter ought not to have been brought before the CCT.

Justice Onnoghen is facing charges bordering on non-declaration of assets levelled against him by the federal government.
