COVID-19: Unizik Suspends Chinese Course 

Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, has suspended a Chinese course in the institution amidst fears of the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19).

This was revealed by the School Vice-Chancellor, Charles Esomone, during a pre-convocation press conference on Monday.

The VC who said the Chinese course, which forms part of the courses studied by students in the institution, would now be taken online.

He disclosed that the varsity had asked its Chinese lecturers, who travelled for Christmas vacation, not to return to the University while those who were around had been barred from travelling.

The varsity’s 14th Convocation ceremony has been scheduled for Monday 9 to 13 March, 2020.
