COZA Scandal Aftermath: 12 Cases Of Rape Reported In One Week
The recent sexual assault revelation by celebrity photographer, Busola Dakolo, wife to sensational singer, Timi Dakolo has generated massive reactions from Nigerians at home and abroad.
The revelation last week Friday, had instantly stirred outrage and condemnation across the internet with many airing their differing views on the incident.

Busola had accused Biodun Fatoyinbo, senior pastor of a popular Abuja church, the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, popularly known as COZA, of raping her when she was still a minor.
The mother of three who said the incident happened about twenty years ago, said the pastor raped her twice within a space of a week.
Her revelation had prompted Nigerians with similar experience to open up on similar encounters.

‘Almost All My Nieces Have Been Sexually Molested’
Twitter user @NnekaOtubo claimed that Busola’s revelation prompted her friend to check on her nieces. She found out they have all been sexually molested.
‘I Was Sexually Molested As A Child’
Another twitter user, @iamrenike said she was sexually molested as a child. She had bottled up the experience for over 15years.

‘COZA Pastor Also Raped My Friend Of 15yrs’
Stella Damasus, Nollywood actress, said the COZA pastor raped a friend she had known for 15 years.
“I’m in tears right now. Just got off the phone with someone I have known for 15 years. She had the same experience with this same pastor. The details of her experience were so shocking,” she wrote on Twitter.
“She told people around him but they suppressed it. Are people still doubting this incident?”

Man Defiles 16-year-old
A 30-year-old man, named Segun Olawoyin, allegedly raped a 16-year-old girl after her parents left home for a church service in Ogun State.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident on Sunday.
“In an attempt to rescue herself, she gave the suspect several bites, but he still had his way,” Oyeyemi said.
Man Rapes 5yr Old
Abdulrazaq Garuba, 45, was accused of allegedly raping a five-year-old girl in Ilorin.
Ayodele Bello, Public Relations Officer of NSCDC confirmed the incident, adding that the suspect was arrested on June 30.
According to him, the victim’s mother raised the alarm immediately after sighting her daughter coming out of the suspect’s room with blood stains on her legs.
‘I Was Raped At 7’
Nigerian photographer and singer, TY Bello, recounted how she was sexually abused at a young age and how she had struggled to keep silent for so long.
“I remember how the silence I had to keep after the abuse slowly killed me. I also remember the relief I found in my relationship God so early.
That really was my rescue ..yet for decades I could never find my voice on the matter .. I was still afraid ..Mostly because I felt it may have been the fault of my seven-year-old self .. somehow… Fast forward .. almost thirty years later ..I knew better .. and was ‘big’ enough,” she said.
Islamic Cleric Rapes 16yr Old
An Islamic cleric in Osun State, Habeebulah Abdulrahman, (popularly known as Al-Edewy), allegedly raped a 16-year-old female student of his Islamic school.
The cleric however denied the act, stating that the teenager is his wife and he had the right to have sexual intercourse with her.
‘I Was Raped As A Child’
Nigerian media personality, Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode better known as Do2tun also revealed that he was molested as a child by his housemaid. He was 11.
“Folake would want me to bath with her all the time, in the process asked me to fondle her breast, stick my fingers in her vagina, sometimes when she isn’t satisfied, she gives me things to stick in countless times, pulls my peepee, she will masturbate and make me watch and after the whole process, she will threatened never to tell anyone or else she will kill me. I started to get fond of it so much that I’ll refuse to take a bath with my siblings, refuse to eat any food except she serves it,” he wrote on his Instagram page.
‘He Asked Me To Take Off My Clothes Else He Could Kill Me’
Nigerian singer and actress, Simbee Davis, accused pop star, MC Galaxy of rape.
She took to her Instagram page to make the allegations, explaining that the incident happened around 2009/2010 when MC Galaxy was a dancer.
She said Galaxy asked her to take off her clothes or be killed by him.
