Davido Terminates Singer’s Contract For Allegedly Assaulting Girlfriend

Davido Music Worldwide, a record label owned by singer Davido, has terminated the one-month-old contract of one of its artistes, Lil Frosh, following allegation that the latter had allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, Camille.

Lil Frosh, real name Sanni Goriola, had come under heavy criticisms after viral social media photos showed brutalized face of a lady said to be his girlfriend.

DMW, in a press statement on Tuesday, said it had investigated the matter and arrived at the conclusion to terminate Lil Frosh’s contract.

The record label said it does not condone domestic violence and would not want to be associated with Lil Frosh for that reason.

“There is no excuse for the actions of Lil Frosh and we understand that there is nothing that can be said or done to take away the insensitivity shown,” the statement read in part.

“Upon internal investigations carried out by the label, we are left with no option than to terminate the recording contract that exists between the label and Lil Frosh, effective immediately. We hereby immediately severe all affiliations with Mr Sanni Goriola Wasiu aka Lil Frosh,” it said.
