Delta Lady Rescued From Suicide Attempt After She Wrote On Twitter ‘I Hope I’m Dead’

A Twitter user, identified as Enifome from Delta State has been found and rescued following an attempt to take her life after sending suicide message on Twitter on Monday.

THE WHISTLER understands that Enifome allegedly suffers from mental illness which has lingered for a decade, causing her severe pains in vital parts of her body, and had inevitably depended on others for survival.

According to the suicide note, she was apparently tired of prolonging a painful life.

Her message read in part: “If you are reading this, I am either dead or dying. I don’t know how long it takes OD to work but I mostly hope I’m dead. Why?

“I got tired of unending physical pain I got in my back, chest and legs. I couldn’t even afford treatments. I got tired of unending emotional trauma of being broken and tossed again… I got tired of hoping things will get better. It has been 10 years and it only got worse.

Some Nigerians who read her message on Twitter immediately called for her rescue as those in close contact with her also revealed her phone number could not be reached.

A tweet by Kiki Mordi, award-winning human right journalist, noted that Enifome was successfully rescued and she’s currently receiving treatment in a hospital.
