Edo: After God, Wike Responsible For My Victory – Obaseki

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has eulogised the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, for the pivotal role he played in ensuring his re-election.

He said after the almighty God, Governor Wike would come next for the critical role he played which gave him victory.

Obaseki spoke when he led some Edo State political leaders on a thank-you visit to Governor Wike at the Rivers State Government House, Port Harcourt.

Although Obaseki did not explain what Governor Wike did to ensure his victory, he praised his Rivers State counterpart for his committement.

He said Wike relocated to Edo State despite the needless attacks from the opposition.

Wike, in his response said his support was informed by the fact that Governor Obaseki was courageous and fearless.

According to him, standing against forces of godfatherism was not easy but Obaseki made himself available to protect the interest of Edo State.

THE WHILSTER gathered that the wife of the Edo State governor, Betsy Bene Obaseki, presented a gift to Governor Wike and his wife, Justice Suzette Wike.
