El-Rufai’s Wife Reveals ‘Old School’ Approach Gov Used To Woo Her

Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s wife, Hadiza Isma, has revealed the approach and some of the words her husband used to ask her out more than three decades ago.

Hadiza, who is celebrating 35 years of being married to Governor El-Rufai, shared a photo believed to be from their wedding ceremony.

She revealed that the governor’s relationship proposal to her was done through a love letter.

Hadiza shared a line from the letter: “I’m picking up my golden pen from the basket of love to write these few words of mine.”

The former lecturer at Kaduna Polytechnic was said to have met Governor El-Rufai in 1976 at the School of Basic Studies, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
