Catholic Pontiff, Francis, said on Friday that no human being or nation was more important than another.

The Pope maintained that God always saw value in humans.

He also held that each human being could become an asset to their world.

“Everyone is important in God’s eyes, everyone can transform a part of the world polluted by human voracity into the good reality willed by the Creator.

“#SeasonOfCreation,” Pope tweeted.

The Pope’s message could be a veiled reference to racism, which is witnessing a resurgence in some parts of the world.

The message of the Pope, who is based in the Vatican City, is coming days after the European Union realised that racism was eating deep among its member states.

THE WHISTLER earlier reported that the EU Commission’s President, Ursula Von Der Leyen, had on Wednesday, assured of amending EU’s racial equality laws so as to tighten measures against racists on the continent, particularly amongst member states.

“Hate is hate – and no one should have to put up with it.

“We put forward an action plan against racism.

“We’ll strengthen our racial equality laws.

“We’ll use our budget to address discrimination in areas like employment, housing or healthcare.

“We will get tougher on enforcement,” she had said.
