Ex- Delta Gov Uduaghan Returns To PDP After APC Sojourn

Two years after quitting the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), immediate past Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan on Monday returned to the party.

Uduaghan had served as Delta state governor for eight years and also served as Secretary to the State Government, all under the PDP.

He defected from the PDP to the All Progressive Congress (APC) in August of 2018.

His council ward, Aigborodo Ward 6 in Warri North Local Government Council, recieved the ex-governor.

According to Channels TV, he had, for some months now, been persuaded to return to the PDP.

He however, did not disclose who persuaded him to return to PDP.

He had said the reason for his defection at the time was President Muhammadu Buhari administration’s effort in tackling the crisis in the South-South region of the country.

Uduaghan was defeated at the Delta South Senatorial District election in 2019 by James Manager of the PDP.

He also lost his appeal of the election at the appellate court after he challenged the result of the poll.
