How To Fight Poverty – Pastor

The Resident Pastor of Living Faith Church, Jahi, Abuja, Chris Abraham, said on Sunday, that people have a role to play in making sure that poverty does not ravage their lives.

He disclosed this at the church’s ‘Business Breakthough Service’.

He preached on the topic, “engaging violent faith for supernatural breakthrough”.

He said that for people to escape poverty, they must first change their mentality about prosperity.

He said people should realize and believe that it was God’s perfect will to see them prosper in life.

“By divine ordination, you are designed to do well in life,” he said.

According to the cleric, nothing makes a man or woman useless in life like poverty.

He urged the congregation to reject poverty because it was not a good thing.

The cleric emphasized that people should understand that poverty was a major hindrance to the fulfilment of their potential and purpose in life.

He also said that poverty makes a man to be disregarded by his mates, even if he has something worthwhile to say.

He said certain sicknesses could be taken care of if people had the money to pay their medical bills.

The pastor also said that prosperity was crucial for the spread of the gospel across the world and for meeting human needs,stressing that people should desire it.

“Satan is against the prosperity of God’s people,” he added.

“Poverty cannot be managed, that is why nobody wants to identify with it,” he added.

He explained his view from Ecclesiastes 6 vs 2.

The cleric said further that people should do something about their lives and situation and not just wait for help somewhere and as such, waste in life.

He said if people do nothing about their lives, they would end up as nothing and with nothing in life.

“The outcome of your life is absolutely your responsibility in life,” he said.

He said that true prosperity does not just jump on people, adding that the congregation should give themselves completely to their business or venture, if they want to see profit in life.

“When you give your business what it takes, your business will give you what it contains,” he said.

He also urged the people to be diligent in the pursuit of their business and career, adding that even Jesus Christ saw His ministry as his “father’s business” and gave himself to it.

“Where you stand in the business world is determined by your diligence to your business or lack of it,” he said.

He also told the people to be wary of laziness, adding that it works against attainment of greatness in life.

“The slothful can never be successful,” he said.

He stressed that people need to be violent in their faith through their actions, in order to secure the fulfilment of prophecies in their lives, which includes prosperity.

“If we must fair well in the jungle of life, then we must operate as lions,” he said.

Finally, he told people to do their work God’s way as that was the pathway to the prosperity that comes from God.
