Leah Sharibu Alive, I Know Where Boko Haram Is Keeping Her, Says Jonathan’s Ex-Aide

An ex-aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has claimed he knows where Boko Haram insurgents hid Miss Leah Sharibu.

Sharibu, a Christian teenager, was one of the 110 Dapchi schoolgirls kidnapped by the terrorist group in Yobe State in 2018.

The teenager was denied freedom by the sect because she refused to denounce her Christian faith.

Several local and foreign activists, including Omokri, had campaigned for her release, but the Nigerian government recently accused the ex- aide of exploiting the situation for financial gains.

However, Omokri, in a video he posted on Twitter on Tuesday,  denied the allegation by the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

He said, “I offer a reward of ₦50million to anyone who can show proof I benefited off #FreeLeahSharibu.”

“Leah Sharibu is alive, she is very much alive. Boko Haram; they are keeping her, I have an idea where she is, but I just don’t want to say it for her safety, but she is not dead.”

Omokri added, “I don’t need money for the ‘Free LeahSharibu Campaign’, it is painful to me that they are doing this.”

According to him, the government is doing nothing to rescue Sharibu, but has made more efforts to “bring him down.”

He stated, “The main problem we are seeing in Nigeria is because nobody is willing to stand up to this administration.”
