Joshua Knocks Out Pulev As Fury Says ‘I Want The Fight Next’

Moments after knocking out Bulgaria’s Kubrat Pulev to retain his world titles, Anthony Joshua has indicated readiness to fight fellow Brit, Tyson Fury.

Joshua outclassed Pulev, dropping him to the floor two times before knocking him out totally at the ninth round.

Joshua made good his threat to knock out Pulev as he came strong and remained hungry for the win throughout the bout.

The British-Nigerian boxer had said ahead of the fight, “Pulev is not going to be like someone in my tenth fight where they’re waiting to be hit, but it will be a clinical performance where I break him down and then. when the time is right. I am going to go in there and knock him out in devastating fashion.”

Pulev on the other hand failed to fulfill his threat to “end” Joshua’s career ahead of the fight held at the Wembley Arena in London.

Boxing promoter, Eddie Hearn, had quoted Pulev as telling Joshua that, “I will beat you tomorrow, you are nothing, I’m better than you… I will end you tomorrow.”

But speaking after flooring Pulev in the 9th round, Joshua said he was more about, “less talk, more action, I hope everyone was satisfied tonight.”

He said, “For me, I stuck to what I know best, boxing, you ask the crowd what they want to see!

“I’m up for anyone, look at my resume. Whoever has got the belt, I want the belt. If that is Tyson Fury, let it be!”

Meanwhile, Tyson Fury has taken to Twitter to post a 15-second video, where he threatened to punish Joshua after the latter’s victory against Pulev.

“There you go everyone. Anthony Joshua got asked if he wanted the fight and he went round the bushes. I want the fight. I want the fight next. I will knock him out inside three rounds. I can’t wait to knock him out,” said Fury.
