Gunmen Kidnap Two Foreign Nationals In Ibadan

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted two foreign nationals in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital..

The victims, whose nationalities were not given, were kidnapped by the hoodlums around Toll Gate area on Wednesday evening.

They were said to have been robbed of their money and other valuables before abducting them around 4 pm on the day.

They foreigners were driving out of a pharmaceutical firm, close to the Toll Gate along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, when the gunmen reportedly struck.

The kidnappers opened fire on their vehicle which forced it to grind to a halt after the tyres had been punctured by bullets.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Oyo State Command, Gbenga Fadeyi, who confirmed the incident, said the police were on the trail of the kidnappers.

He said the police would ensure that the victims were rescued unhurt while soliciting the support of people in the state for a more effective prevention.
