JUST IN: Dogara, Lasun Shun Buhari-led APC NEC Meeting

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, and his deputy, Suleiman Lasun, have shunned the ongoing meeting National Executive Committee meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to reports, both Dogara and Lasun sent in individual apology letters to the National Chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, explaining their absence at the NEC meeting currently taking place at the National Secretariat of the ruling party.

While Dogara’s reason for skipping the NEC meeting remains sketchy at press time, Lasun’s absence at the meeting may not be unconnected to his grievance with Oshiomhole over the alleged role the APC Chairman played to deny him victory at the Osun governorship primary election of the ruling party.

Following the outcome of the Osun gubernatorial primary of the APC, the Deputy Speaker had said: “Comrade Adams Oshiomhole is going to destroy APC. I have not spoken since that primary, but I am speaking now. Nobody can drive me out of that party. I am a member of APC.”
