JUST IN: Tinubu Visits Fasoranti Over Daughter’s Murder

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has paid a condolence visit to the Chairman of the Afenifere group, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, whose daughter was allegedly killed on Friday by herdsmen. 

Mrs Funke Olakunri, according to Afenifere, was killed along the Ondo-Ore road by suspected herdsmen. 

The police have however said Mrs Olakunri was killed by armed robbers, against the position of the socio-political group. 

During his condolence visit, Tinubu urged the South West and particularly the people of Ondo, where the deceased hailed from, not to take actions capable of dividing the country. 

The APC leader prayed for the Olakurin family and the Afenifere leader.

Tinubu’s visit is coming on the heels of Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo’s visit to the Fasoranti family over the sad incident. 

Osinbajo had during his visit said:“We are looking at the whole security architecture and trying to scale up and ensure that we are able to protect the lives and properties of Nigerians.

“Security in a big country like Nigeria, as you can imagine the challenge, is dynamic and we also have to be consistently dynamic to ensure that we are able to beat the challenges as they appear,’’ said the Vice President.
