Kebbi Abduction: 3 More Students Die, 1 Soldier Injured

Three more students of the Federal Government College, Birnin Yauri, have been reported dead barely 48 hours after their abduction.

The development followed reports that a student had died during a faceoff with the kidnappers on Friday.

The deaths comprise of two females and a male, while a soldier was injured.

“Three students were brought from the forest along with one soldier that was injured.

“A father of one of the deceased students came and identified his daughter. He said she was suffering from asthma,” Humangle quoted a source to have said.

Suspected bandits had reportedly attacked the school on June 17, abducting some teachers and students. An officer was also killed and another injured in the process.

Fortunately, troops of the Nigerian Army announced 24 hours later that it had rescued two teachers and five students and was trailing the kidnappers.
