Kidnapped Enyimba, Abia Comet Players Regain Freedom

The kidnapped Enyimba Football club midfielder , Dayo Ojo and Abia Comet player Benjamin Iluyomade have regained their freedom.

The news filtered in late Wednesday night March 25.

Enyimba Football Club took to twitter to confirm the good news.

Dayo Ojo, in company with Benjamin Iluyomade and fellow team mate Emmanuel James were traveling to Akure when they where kidnapped along the Benin-Owo Express Way but Emmanuel James managed to escape the kidnappers.

“Our midfielder man, Dayo Ojo has regained freedom from his kidnappers.
The Abia Comets player, Benjamin Iluyomade, has also regained freedom.” Enyimba twitted

It is not known whether the 20 million naira ransom money asked by the kidnappers was paid to secure the release of the players as at press time.
