“Breaking! Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, this afternoon, signs the bill prohibiting open cattle grazing in Lagos into law.”

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association had said during a public hearing that a cow could cost up to N2 million in Lagos State if the anti-grazing bill is passed into law in the state.

The group said raising cows in an enclosed place would raise the cost of the animals drastically and pleaded to continue with open grazing with a promise that they would no longer allow their animals to destroy farms.
