NCDC Boosts COVID-19 Testing Capacity With New Facility In Anambra State

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has activated a new COVID-19 testing facility in Anambra

The disclosure, which came via a tweet, disclosed that the new lab is at the General Hospital Onitsha.

With the latest inclusion, the NCDC now has 63 laboratories with the capacity to test for COVID19 across the country.

Meanwhile, the NCDC continues to make progress in its efforts at making it easy for Nigerians to get tested in order to prevent further spread. 

In Cross River, the NCDC Rapid Response Team (RRT) supported the state to enhance sample collection and ramp-up testing for COVID19.

The NCDC RRT also worked with the Cross River State Response Team to assess a 100-bed isolation facility in Adiabo Tinapa.
