NECO Board Appoints New Acting Registrar – Circular

The Director, Special Duties at the National Examinations Council (NECO), Mr Ebikibina John Ogborodi has been appointed as the Acting Registrar/Chief Executive of the institution.

Daily Trust reports that the Director, Human Resource Management (NECO), Mr. Mustapha K. Abdul, disclosed that the circular announcing the appointment was endorsed by its Governing Board.

“The Circular explained that Mr. Ogborodi’s appointment was as a result of his being the most Senior Director in the Council. The Circular stated that all activities of the Council are to continue unabated as earlier planned”, he said as quoted by Daily Trust.

THE WHISTLER earlier reported that Ogborodi’s new role comes after the death of his predecessor, Professor Godswill Obioma.

The workers’ union of NECO had told this website that Obioma had a cordial relationship with staff due his good welfare plans for workers.
