The FCT CP, who assumed office on Friday, described himself as a crime fighter, and vowed to confront perpetrators of crime with the four-point agenda.

He said, “If you are a bandit, kidnapper, an armed robber, killer, whatever high crime you are committing, No. 1. We have a four-point agenda, it is either you shoot me, you shoot us, or you shoot me. I do not have fear about it.

“The second movement is that we will arrest you and you will be in prison. The third one is that your movement will be in my cell. The fourth one that you have every opportunity to act upon is that you should be on the run.”

The CP also addressed criminals involved in One-Chance Robbery in the capital city.

He said, “Those I pity, are those that they call one-chance. I pity you, if you call yourself a one-chance. There is no law in this country that recognises an offence to be one-chance. One-chance is robbery.

“If you have the audacity, whether you are a man or woman to rob, and say you are one-chance, we have the temerity to treat you otherwise s that you will understand it in a better language. But for your sake, find what you will do because you will receive what you do not expect.”

The police boss further urged the residents to approach police stations near them to report suspicious movement or any information that could facilitate their work.

There has been a surge in insecurity across the capital territory with recurring cases of robbery in the city and suspected cases of kidnap for ransom in the suburb areas of Abuja.

On Thursday, armed men had abducted a director at Federal Housing Authority, from his residence at Pambara New Extension, Bwari Central Area of the FCT.
