FG Halts $300 Helicopter Landing Fees For Oil Firms
The Federal Government has ordered a temporary suspension of the enforcement and collection of helicopter landing fees imposed on oil and gas operators after concerns were raised by stakeholders in the petroleum industry.
The directive was issued on Monday by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, during a meeting with the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Heineken Lokpobiri, and representatives of major oil industry groups at the headquarters of the aviation ministry in Abuja.

Court Remands Benue Farmers For Alleged Murder, Robbery
A Makurdi Chief Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday ordered that two farmers, Godwin Terfa and Samson Adefu, be remanded at the Correctional Center, Makurdi, for allegedly robbing and killing one Nensha Abiem.
The farmers who live at Ugba in Logo Local Government Area of Benue were charged with criminal conspiracy, robbery, culpable homicide and act of terrorism.
However, when the case came up for mention, the Chief Magistrate, Mrs Regina Alashi did not take their pleas for want of jurisdiction.

FRSC Produces Over 1m Driver’s Licenses In 2025, With 427,675 Unclaimed
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has said a total of 1,047,148 driver’s licences were produced nationwide in 2025, while 427,675 remain unclaimed by applicants.
The Corps Public Education Officer (CPEO), Olusegun Ogungbemide, made the disclosure in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Abuja.
Ogungbemide said that a driver’s licence serves the owner in several ways, beyond being a driving document, explaining that it also serves as a security document accepted by institutions.

Ebonyi Monarch Killing: Police Arrest Mastermind, Recover Arms, Charms
The Ebonyi State Police Command said it has arrested the mastermind, Nwazunku Stephen, of the kidnapping of the traditional ruler of Ndufu Alike Ikwo, late Ezeogo Francis Igwe.
