NGO Dumps Maiduguri IDPs Camp Following Attack On Workers

Following the violence that occurred at the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital over the distribution of food, humanitarian workers have pulled out of the camp.

Recall that barely three days ago, violence broke out in the camp after the IDPs rejected the rations given to them by the officials, saying that it was too small.

A non-Governmental Organization (NGO) had come to the camp to distribute relief materials to the displaced persons.

But the IDPs started hurling stones at the staff, injuring some of them, saying that they have been starving for the past one month and nobody came to share or distribute food to them.
