Nigerian Born UK Lawmaker Suspended For Condemning Homosexuality

Chika Amadi, a Nigerian born British female councilor under the Labour Party in the United Kingdom has been suspended, the party announced on Tuesday.

According to a statement, Mrs Amadi who represents London Borough of Harrow, was suspended for calling a popular homosexual group, Pride marchers, “evil”.

“Chika Amadi has been suspended from the Labour Party pending an investigation,” a Labour party spokesperson said.

The Spokesperson continued, “One Twitter user once pointed out her homophobia and she responded with: ‘Evil. If you dare walk naked in front of my child God will give you terrible assignment that will put you to perpetual sleep. Be warned.”

Mrs Amadi, who is also a pastor, is reportedly known for condemning people or groups that promote ideologies that do not connect with her Christian faith.

Commenting on the incident, leader of Harrow Council, Sachin Shah, told the Evening Standard that, “As Leader of Harrow Council and a proud Harrow resident I absolutely reject and condemn these abhorrent statements.

“Homophobic views have no place in our community – which is one of the most diverse and accepting in all of the UK.

“We stand for equal rights for all – and I have asked the national Labour Party to deal with this issue swiftly and decisively.”
