Nigerians React To Buhari’s 3rd Medical Vacation In 15 Months

Tongues are beginning to wag over President Muhammadu Buhari’s third overseas medical vacation in fifteen months.

Nigerians on social media are expressing different opinions with some of them wondering why President Buhari is seeking another term in office when he could barely stay 12 months straight without seeking medical attention abroad.

The Presidency, it would be recalled, had announced on Monday night that President Buhari will depart Abuja on Tuesday to London, the United Kingdom, where he is expected to stay for four days to see his doctor.

Buhari’s latest trip to London will make it his third medical vacation since the beginning of 2017.

The President had in February last year travelled to London where he spent over 50 days on medical consultation. He equally spent over 100 days in London during a medical vacation he embarked on in May 2017.

Announcing his bid to seek another medical attention In London, Buhari tweeted on Monday night: “I will be traveling to the United Kingdom tomorrow, to see my doctor, at his request. Will be away for four days; back in Abuja on Saturday, May 12,” adding that “The Presidency has issued a statement to this effect. I look forward to my 2-day State Visit to Jigawa State on Monday and Tuesday next week, after my return.”
