No Zonal Arrangement For Planned APC National Convention – Spokesman

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed as fake, a purported zoning arrangement for the planned National Convention of the party which has gone viral on social media.

The APC called on party members, supporters, stakeholders and the general public to disregard the “fake news.”

A statement issued on Tuesday by the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party, Yekini Nabena, said no fake zoning arrangement was issued or discussed by the Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee (CEONCPC) at its inaugural meeting held on Monday.

According to Nabena, there would be official communication and publication if and when a zoning arrangement is made for the planned National Convention.

He said “Below are highlights of Monday’s Inaugural Meeting of the Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee (CEONCPC):

“The inaugural meeting of the Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee (CEONCPC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held at the Party’s National Secretariat and was attended by all thirteen (13) members.

“Members are H.E. Governor Mai Mala Buni – Chairman, H.E. Governor Isiaka Oyetola, H.E. Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, Sen. Ken Nnamani, Sen. Abubakar Yusuf, Hon. Akinyemi Olaide, Mrs. Stella Oketete, Dr. James Lulu, Chief David Lyon, Sen. Abba Ali, Prof., Tahir Mamman, Barr. Ismail Ahmed

“The meeting unanimously adopted a six-point working document aimed at repositioning the party.

“Members also renewed their commitment to work as a family in the interest of the party and appealed to all leaders and members to give full cooperation to the Committee in the discharge of its duties/mandate.

“The meeting also approved the composition of the following Committees:
