Nsukka Residents Commend Yoruba-Born Jimoh For Supporting Community
Jimoh Ruaf Badamosi, of Ibagwa-Aka in Igboeze South Local Government Area of Enugu State, has become the centre of attraction for the people of the area following his philanthropy.
THE WHISTLER gathered that Mr Badamosi is Yoruba but was born at Ibagwa-Aka, headquarters of the local government. He has been silently providing social amenities and empowering the people of the area.

A communication expert from the area, Ikechukwu Ojobo, told our correspondent that, “He doesn’t make noise. He does innumerable things. He is not also a politician. He is reserved.
“He is a typical student of former American president John F Kennedy who advocates that we should think of what to do for our nation, and not what our nation will do for us.”
A resident around the area, Adaeze Onuorah, said, “He single-handedly tarred road networks in our area. This has helped the people of Ibagwa-Aka a great deal. From 2020 till date, he has sustained this philanthropic gesture. He complements the efforts of the government.
“Jimoh has also rebuilt some classroom blocks at Urban Primary/Secondary School, Ibagwa-Aka. Our children now enjoy the best atmosphere at school.”

A motorcyclist, James Mba, said, “This same man, sometime last year, empowered many widows to start their private businesses. He also gave out motorcycles and tricycles to our youths to be self-sustaining. I recall also that he donated wheelchairs to some physically challenged people in this zone.”
A community leader, on condition of anonymity, said, “He is indeed detribalised. During one of the Muslim celebrations, he opened his gate open for everybody. This is a typical Nigeria worthy of emulation. He returns without announcement. We mainly see his good work.
“The bottom-line is that he is not Igbo, but identifies with the place of his birth. He has become a native of this community by his deeds. This is what we need in Nigeria.”
Efforts to speak with Jimoh Badamosi did not yield results. He is said to be residing in Abuja.
