NYSC Members In Kano To Be Deployed To Schools-Ganduje

Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has called on 1,381 youths corps members posted to the state for their one-year national service to be ready to accept posting as teachers in the public schools in the state.

The governor, who was represented at the swearing-in ceremony of the 2019 Batch “C” stream “1” by the the state Commissioner of Sport and Youths ,Comrade Ado Lakwaya, also charged the corpers to engage in public enlightenment against drug addiction and abuse in their places pf primary assignment.

“I hope you will work in the footsteps of your predecessors. Specifically, I wish to charged you to be dedicated and help in the revitalization of our educational sector by accepting posting as teachers in our publuc schools,”Ganduje said

The state Coordinator of the NYSC, Alhaji Laden Baba disclosed that a total of 1,381 corps members were registered comprising 638 males and 743 females.

Ganduje however pledged to make the service year memorable for the youth corpers by providing necessary facilities at the NYSC camp and in their places of assignment.

The compulsory orientation course involves physical training ,lecture series ,social activities ,games and sports aimed at developing in the corpers the spirit of discipline ,courage ,participation and perseverance. “
