One-Year-Old Baby Rescued Asleep Under Fallen Truck In Ibadan

There was jubilation in Ibadan as sympathisers rescued one-year-old baby from under a fallen truck.

The baby was found to be asleep when pulled out from under the truck.

It was gathered that the truck, laden with empty crates of beer, rammed into an electric pole before falling down around Iwo Road area.

The truck was said to be coming from the Alakia area of Ibadan when it rammed into the pole and a nearby kiosk close to the Iwo Road Motor Park.

The incident happened on Tuesday.

Eye witnesses told journalists on Wednesday that the mother of the baby dropped the baby with a kiosk owner and went about to sell her wares when the accident happened.

One of them who identified himself as Leke Abiodun, said the baby was sleeping when he was brought out of the fallen truck.

He said, ” It was a lone accident. The accident involved a truck which was carrying empty crates of beer. It fell at around Iwo Road area on Tuesday.

” Surprisingly, one-year-old baby was removed from.under the truck. The baby was even sleeping by the time he was removed.”

The eyewitnesses said nobody died in the accident.
