PDP Pays Tribute To Buhari’s Late Friend Isa Funtua

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has condoled with President Muhammadu Buhari over the death of his friend, Malam Isma’ila Isa Funtua, who died on Monday after reportedly suffering from cardiac arrest.

Funtua was a media mogul, businessman, former minister of water resources and the president’s close confidant, long-time friend and associate.

The party, in a statement issued on Tuesday by its Spokeman, Kola Ologbondiyan, expressed sadness over the former statesman demise.

Ologbondiyan said the deceased “would be remembered for the roles he played towards the development of our nation including his contributions as a minister of the Federal Republic, an outstanding publisher and life patron of the International Press Institute (IPI) and the Newspapers Proprietors Association of Nigeria (NPAN).”

Furthermore, Ologbondiyan consoled the deceased family, media industry as well as the government and people of Katsina state.

The party prayed God to grant eternal rest to the departed.
