The former IGP picked his nomination and expression of interest forms at the National Secretariat of the APC in Abuja, on Monday and told journalists that he was in the race to bring quality representation for his constituents and contribute meaningfully to national development.

Abba recently courted controversy when he alleged that he was sacked for not compromising the 2015 poll in favour of the PDP.

However, Reno Omokri, former Special Assistant on New Media to Jonathan, has slammed IGP Abba (Rtd), saying he was sacked for dereliction of duty and his inability to account for the mysterious death of the then Kano state Resident Electoral Commissioner and his family.
