Snoop Dogg Launches Lifestyle Platform for Marijuana Lovers

American rapper Calvin Cordozar Broadus popularly known as Snoop Dogg and partner Ted Chung has launched a new lifestyle website, which they say is going to become the online encyclopedia of everything related to cannabis use.

The website which was launched at a TechCrunch conference in San Francisco, was named MerryJane.com, the site will combine a traditional editorial voice with consumer-oriented features like a dispensary mapping service and a buying guide for marijuana-related products.

Speaking at the TechCrunch event, the rapper said; “There are so many people in the closet, and we are giving them an opportunity to come out of the closet and just admit they like to smoke.

“I’m a smoker, my name is Snoop Dogg, and I’m a stoner.”

In addition, the rapper also explained that the site will include a database of curated dispensaries and the various strains of cannabis, which users will be able to search.

The website will also focus on news associated with the business and politics of the cannabis industry, including developments in legislation and policies.

“After watching where the cannabis industry is headed, I wanted to create a platform that will take this movement further by creating a destination where people could find fresh content.

“Merry Jane is a game-changing platform for pop culture.”

The platform will also host its own videos through its YouTube channel, like cooking shows, celebrity interviews and a show that focuses on a person’s first time smoking weed, called Deflowered.

The site doesn’t officially open until October, but Snoop and Chung are giving 420 users per day access to its beta version.
