Appeal Court Reserves Judgment Over Ikpeazu’s Sack

A Court of Appeal, on Tuesday, reserved judgment in an appeal by the Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, against the judgement of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, which sacked him as governor of the state.

Recall that on June 27, the Federal High Court, presided by Justice Okon Abang, had sacked Ikpeazu as governor for allegedly submitting false information to his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), during the party’s gubernatorial primaries in December 2014 and for tax evasion.
