Buhari Returns From London Monday

President Muhammadu Buhari will return to Nigeria from the London, the United Kingdom on Monday, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, says.

The President arrived London on Thursday from New York, where he joined other world leaders to attend the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly.

“We just landed in London. The President is in transit; to be back in Nigeria on Monday,” Adesina was quoted as saying by the Punch on Friday.

Recall that the president’s spokesman had said Buhari will transit through London on his way back to the country.

“President Buhari will transit through London on his way back to the country,” Adesina said in a statement last week.

The Presidency however did not disclose the reason for Buhari’s London trip nor the duration of his stay in the British capital.

However, it is believed that the President is visiting London for medical treatment.
