Igboho’s spokesman, Yomi Koiki, had said on Sunday that his boss would not go and fight in the town while saying it was the responsibility of the governor to protect his people.

But in a video posted on Koiki’s page on Facebook, THE WHISTLER saw some motorcyclists hailing Igboho who was driven in a white Toyota Hilux into the town on Monday evening.

As the residents hailed him, he was seen acknowledging cheers from them from the vehicle where he was .

Residents told our correspondent that Igboho just went round the town to see the level of destruction for himself and went back immediately.

A resident, Taiwo Adigun, told our correspondent that Igboho went round and the people were happy that he came to sympathise with them.

Adigun said, ” Igboho came yesterday, we did not even expect him to come. Some okada riders who saw him rode after his convoy and hailed him.

“We still need him to help us in any way possible to prevent a reocurence of such attack.”

Igboho had visited the town in January and issued a seven-day-ultimatum to Seriki Abdukadir Salihu.
