Super Eagles: Foreign Based Players To Face Coronavirus Screening Ahead Of Asaba Match

The Super Eagles of Nigeria players  will undergo proper Coronavirus check  at the various airport terminals in the country ahead of the  African  Nations Cup qualifier against the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba .

The was made known by the General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation, Mohammed Sanusi. He said the NFF will work with the Ministry  of Health to ensure the invited Super Eagles players undergo extensive checks on arrival at the airport.

While speaking to the press, Mohammed said: “On the issue of the corona virus, we are going to work with the Ministry of Health to make sure we get everything under control just like we did with the case of Ebola back in 2018.

“We are going to give the ministry information concerning the arrival and departure dates of the players and they will mount facilities at the airport so they can be checked.

“We are going to work with the ministry and make sure we leave no stone unturned to make sure that everyone coming into Nigeria is being checked,” he added.

The Eagles will play the Sierra Leoneans on the March 27 with the second leg four days later at Siaka Stevens Stadium in free town .
