Truck Rams Into Eid Worshipers In Ogun, 3 Killed

No fewer than two worshipers were killed and many injured in Ogun State after a truck laden with logs of wood rammed into an Eid praying ground.

The ugly incident occurred at an Ijebu Igbo prayer ground when the truck had a break failure, killing the worshipers who were in Eid-el-Kabir celebration mood.

The occurrence was said to have also resulted to a clash that saw a policeman killed by a stray bullet.

Alhaji Ademola Balogun, a worshiper who was at the scene, told Daily Trust that he and his family only managed to escape the incident.

“I do not see reason why these trucks should be allowed to operate today. Me and my family escaped this narrowly. As I speak to you three persons had died. It is very bad here this morning. The question is why should the truck be allowed to work today? Why?” he queried.
