A politician in Spain, Francisco José Contreras, stated on Monday that he was shocked when his Twitter account was temporarily blocked after disagreeing with the notion that a man can get pregnant and give birth.

He claimed that he, “was locked out of his Twitter account for 12 hours last week after saying a man cannot get pregnant because they have no uterus or eggs.”

Contreras said it was after he made the post on May 11 that Twitter sent him a notice telling him that he had broken the company’s rules.

According to him, Twitter forced him to delete the tweet with the following statements:

“Hello, Fco. J. Contreras: Your account, @fjconpe, was blocked for breaking Twitter Rules.
