UAE Army Intercepts Missiles Launched From Yemen

The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defence has said that it has destroyed a ballistic missile launch site situated in Yemen.

Although the houthi rebels’ spokesperson confirmed that the group would “expand” it’s operations over “the next phase”, the UAE said it remained strong in destroying terrorists.

“UAE MOD Joint Operations Command announces at 00:50 UAE time the destruction of platform for ballistic missile launched from Al-Jawf, Yemen towards UAE. Missile was intercepted at 00:20 by air defences. Video of successful destruction of missile platform and launch site,” it tweeted on Monday.

The reprisal attack followed a missile launch to UAE by Houthi rebels on Sunday while the president of Israel, Isaac Herzog, was on a diplomatic visit to UAE Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.

The Israeli president said he was in the country to boost cooperation between both countries.

“It is also an opportunity to be reminded of what we can achieve through cooperation and when we break down barriers for a shared and better future,” he said in Dubai.
