The former acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Joy Nunieh, has levelled allegations of grand corruption against the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio.

Nunieh, in a video by Arise TV, accused Akpabio of deceiving the Federal Executive Council (FEC) in order to secure budget approval for projects yet to be approved by the National Assembly.

The former NDDC chief claimed that Akpabio, on several occasions, tried to make her sign fraudulent documents of which she resisted.

Nunieh also revealed how Akpabio had allegedly awarded himself 30 contracts on assuming office as the minister of Niger Delta Affairs.

According to her, Akpabio made several attempts to make her swear to oaths in a bid to stop her from exposing his alleged fraudulent activities.
