The Kano State House of Assembly has distanced itself from the ongoing investigation of Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi II.
This was according to Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Alhaji Kabiru Alhassan Rurum, who stated this on Thursday while speaking with newsmen.

Rurum’s statement stems from the call made by a member the House, Hon Aliyu Sani Madakin Gini, who urged the lower chamber to arbitrate Emir Sanusi’s probe.

Recall that the Kano State government’s anti-corruption agency had earlier suspended its probe of Sanusi after reports emerged that the State House Assembly had equally constituted a separate panel to investigate the Emir.
