We Knew Dogara Was Working With PDP, APC Reacts To Alleged Defection

The All Progressives Congress, APC, on Thursday, reacted to reports that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, picked the Peoples Democratic Party’s, PDP nomination form.

The party, in a brief statement by its spokesperson, Yekini Nabena said the move was not surprising.

The statement said that the party had earlier been informed that the speaker was secretly working with the PDP.

The statement further added that the top lawmaker has no electoral value to be considered a loss.

“We have read your report online that he has picked up PDP nomination form,” Nabena told Premium Times.

“It is not a surprise to us, we already know that he has been working with the PDP.

“He is not a loss to us. Even if we give him the ticket he would lose on ground. He is not even on ground in the first place.

“Those kinds of people we call them Abuja politicians.

“He is not a problem as far as I am concerned. Yakubu Dogara has no electoral value in the APC.”
