Yewande Oyediran, Wife Who Stabbed Husband To Death Gets 7 Yrs Jail

Yewande Oyediran, a Nigerian lawyer, has been sentenced to 7 years imprisonment for stabbing her husband to death.

Yewande, who was a staff of the Department of Public Prosecution in the Oyo State of Ministry of Justice, was sentenced on Monday after she was found guilty of killing Oyelowo Oyediran on February 2, 2016 in Ibadan.

Yewande was earlier reported to have killed 38-year-old Oyelowo with a knife for allegedly having a child outside wedlock.

Justice Muntar Abimbola of the Oyo State High Court sentenced the accused to 7 years for homicide.
