Zamfara College Abduction: Bandits Demand N350m Ransom

Captors of the students and members of staff of the College of Agriculture and Animal Sciences, Bakura, Zamfara State have demanded the sum of N350 million ransom.

The Provost of the College, Habibu Mainasara, disclosed this on Tuesday.

He said the bandits demanded “N350 million for the 20 people currently in their captivity.

“They said that the money must be paid before they could release the staff and the students they kidnapped in my school,” Punch quoted Mainasara to have said.

Recall that the bandits had invaded the college on Sunday and abducted no fewer than 19 persons, with 3 persons reported to have escaped barely 24 hours later.

However, with the recent revelation, it appears the bandits may have abducted 23 persons from the college.
