2019: Buhari’s Declaration Not worth Our Precious Time – PDP

The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said the declaration to run for 2019 presidency by President Muhammadu Buhari is not worth its precious time to talk about.

This, the PDP said, is because President Buhari’s declaration has only classified him as a mere candidate seeking to be Nigeria’s president in the next general election.

The opposition party said only when the president scales through to emerge the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will its party consider him seriously.

“The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says the declaration by President Muhammadu Buhari for a second term is an internal affair of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC),” said PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan.

“The declaration has placed President Buhari among the ranks of aspirants seeking to be the President of the Federal Republic, effective May 29, 2019.

“Until he becomes the candidate of the APC, we will not spend precious time on his mere show of interest,” said the party.
