Abia Federal Lawmaker Dumps PDP For APC
Honourable Sam Onuigbo, a federal lawmaker in the House of Representatives, has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Onuigbo, who represents Ikwuano/Umuahia federal constituency in Abia state, announced his defection to the House in a letter addressed to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, on Thursday.

The lawmaker hinged his decision on internal crisis in the PDP in his local government.
Onoigbo’s defection to APC came a few weeks after two former commissioners in Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s government dumped the PDP in Abia.
The Senate Chief Whip, Senator Orji Kalu had on November 29, welcomed two former Abia commissioners – Hon. Obinna Oriaku and Hon. George Nnana Kalu to the APC.
