Amokachi Appointed Head Coach OF Hercules

Former Super Eagles assistant manager Daniel Amokachi has been named the new head coach of Finnish second division team, JS Hercules.

The former Enyimba International, Nasarawa United and FC Ifeanyi Ubah coach has been offered a one-year deal to manage the Finnish club.

This was confirmed on the club’s official website on Wednesday.

A statement from the club reads: “Oulu-based football club Hercules has signed an agreement with former Nigerian national team player and coach Daniel Amokachi. He will take over from Pekka Haaranen who will continue as assistant coach. Amokachi’s agreement with with Hercules is one year.”

He is to assume duties immediately, according to the management of the club.

Hercules, who are based in Oulu, Finland, were recently promoted to the Finnish second tier at the end of last season.

Amokachi represented Nigeria at two World Cups. In addition, he won the Olympic gold medal in Atlanta Olympic Games in 1996.
