BENUE: APC Gives Members 7 Days To Withdraw Court Cases Or Face Expulsion

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has given party members a seven-day ultimatum to withdraw court cases concerning the Benue State chapter or face expulsion from the Party.

This was reached at the party’s 146th meeting held on Thursday after the NWC deliberated on issues in Benue State.

According to a statement signed by Sen. Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, APC National Secretary, the decision aims to streamline internal dispute resolution processes and prevent external legal entanglements that could undermine party cohesion.

“That all ongoing cases filed in the name of the Party or associated with matters concerning the Party and involving Party members must be discontinued and withdrawn from the courts within the next 7 days.”

The NWC while noting the importance of compliance, stated that failure to adhere to the directive would prompt disciplinary action, and any member found responsible for maintaining such suits would face immediate suspension and, ultimately, expulsion from the party.

It further stated that upholding the unity and integrity of the party is paramount, and internal resolution of legal matters is deemed crucial to maintaining the cohesion and focus of the party.
